POPGOES 0, previously known as POPGOES IF, was a planned spinoff title created by Phil Morg that was later cancelled.

Description[]

While initially created as a fangame, after revealing it to Kane, it was turned into a canon sequel meant to take place right before POPGOES 2. The plot would have involved Simon altering Strings' Curiosity module, making him hallucinate a new Popgoes Pizzeria with Simon as the main attraction, forcing him to survive against the "Generated Animatronics". The ending screen from POPGOES Arcade 2 teased POPGOES 0, showing the Generated Popgoes' box. POPGOES 0 was later de-canonized due to the amount of changes to the plot of POPGOES 2 it required. After this, Phil cancelled the game.

Characters[]

Not much is known about the cast of POPGOES 0 aside from the names of some of the characters, which all seem to be based off nursey rhymes.

Generated Animatronics[]

  • Generated Popgoes: A new version of Popgoes, based on the nursey rhyme "Pop! Goes the Weasel!"
  • Chase the Monkey: Popgoes' companion based on the line "The monkey chased the weasel" from "Pop! Goes the Weasel!"
  • Twinkletime: A large star with little star companions, based on the nursey rhyme "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
  • Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee: Two humanoid characters named after the nursey rhyme of the same name.
  • Generated Stone: An new version of Stone, possibly also related to the "Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee" nursey rhyme, which mentions a "monstrous crow."
  • Crooked Simon: A new version or Simon based on the nursey rhyme "There Was a Crooked Man."

Trivia[]

  • In Phisnom's Five Nights at Candy's 1-3 Stream, He reveals that the monkey animatronic was named "Chase" in reference to the pop goes the weasel nursery rhyme, "The monkey chased the weasel."
  • In POPGOES IF, Chase the Monkey's mechanic would be that he would bang on the doors of your office and slowly chip away at its defense. The way you would get rid of Chase would be by making a loud noise or sound to scare it off.
    • When Phisnom showed the idea to Kane Carter, he pointed out how similar the mechanic was to Chester in Five Nights at Candy's 2.
