Mike Schmidt Jr. was the main protagonist of POPGOES 2015. He was the nightguard in the 2015 iteration of the The Popgoes Pizzeria before he was changed to Strings in the 2016 version.
Appearance[]
It is unlikely that we would've seen him in-game, though a single sprite has been shown meant to represent his spirit.
Personality[]
Due to the reworking of POPGOES, it is unknown what personality Mike Schmidt Jr. would've been like.
Story[]
POPGOES 2015[]
Mike became the nightguard of The Popgoes Pizzeria to experience what his father went through back in the events of Five Nights at Freddy's 1. During the time of the game, he slowly achieved a psychical connection with Fritz Glade, called a "London Bridge". Thanks to that connection, Mike was able to contact Fritz and see Gem Stone, who represented a vitality of the connection. The connection wasn't created purposely, but it started to exist because of similar experiences of Mike Jr and Fritz.
However, during the Sixth Night, Fritz's would've likely hanged himself after realising that Blackrabbit is being made, and his daughter hasn't forgiven him. Due to Fritz's death, the psychic connection was broken, and the London Bridge has become unstable. Gem Stone transformed into Grave Stone to show that the vitality of the connection was strongly damaged. At this point, Mike Jr. has started to lose his sanity, which led to the POPGOES: Silent Night.
POPGOES: Silent Night[]
The Silent Night would take place during the Christmas Day, 25th December 2024. After Fritz Glade died and "The London Bridge" was destroyed, Mike Schmidt Jr. was left at the edge of his sanity. The final night would take place in a strange, psychedelic version of The Popgoes Pizzeria, where Mike would have to fight Grave Stone, the representation of the broken connection between Fritz and Mike and embodiment of death. The goal of Mike is to kill himself before Grave Stone manages to do it.
POPGOES Encore[]
In POPGOES Encore, Mike Jr would own the Freddy Encore and kill, along with Fritz, the producers of the film minus the player.
Mike and Fritz will escape their suits and haunt Golden Freddy X. If Mike enters it first, he will change into a red version. Once both enter him, he will change his colour to purple, becoming Shadow Freddy X. After this happens, the player will set fire to the Production Studio, and escape through all of his surgeries, leaving him. And with the fire, Mike's soul would eventually rest in peace.
Trivia[]
- Taking into account that POPGOES 2015 was going to take place in the same FNAC Universe, it is very likely that Mary Schmidt was meant to be the mother of Mike Jr.
